The Nazca Lines
Description
At 4:00am our representative will pick you up from your hotel to begin the journey to Nazca. We will have a brief stop around 8:00am to grab breakfast. After eating, we will return to the road and proceed directly to the María Reich airport, arriving around 11:30am. At the airport, local staff will greet us to provide instructions and show us a short documentary about the enigmatic Nazca Lines. Finally, we will be ready to board for an unforgettable plane ride over giant drawings etched into the sand in the driest desert in the world. During the flight you will observe a whale, an astronaut, a condor, a dog, a monkey, a hand, a tree, a lizard, a flower, a spider, a spiral, a parrot, a flamingo, and a hummingbird, in addition to the spectacular geometric lines that crisscross the vast plains. Throughout the flight our guide will shed some light on why the lines may have been created, a question whose answer is shrouded in mystery. At last we will return to the airport, where we will set off for a local restaurant for an included lunch. After lunch, we will begin the roughly 6.5 hour journey back to Lima where, after being dropped off at your hotel, our service will end.
